Since its founding in 1937, the Ohio Prosecuting Attorneys Association has functioned as a non-profit entity designed to see to the needs of all elected county prosecutors in the state of Ohio. The founders created the Association to enhance the professional acumen of all individuals who belong to the membership-based organization, and to expand its members' interest in the government, among other intentions.
In creating the Ohio Prosecuting Attorneys Association, the founders instilled values in the organization that they intended future leaders to uphold. Namely, they sought to promote justice, in general, and to advocate governmental policies benefiting the office of a prosecuting attorney.
Members of the Ohio Prosecuting Attorneys Association make good on those founding goals by supporting events such as ArriveSafe, which provides free cab rides during major holidays to cut down on accidents related to drugs and alcohol. Additionally, various training events such as Ohio Certified Public Records Training are conducted by the association in order to facilitate increased knowledge and expertise among members.
